OPI DS Extravagance

This is one beautiful polish. Its a red wine colour full of micro sparkles that give off a 3d effect.

Please excuse very short thumb nail, it broke so I cut the others too. Anyways, look at this polish, it glows, it sparkles, its love!

It took two coats to achieve full opaqueness! its long wearing especially with a top coat which adds the extra shine. Didnt try it as a matte but I am sure it would be just as pretty.

If you are looking for something pretty and amazing, this is the one for you, its become one of my favourites. Thank you OPI for this amazing polish.

LIMELIGHT by COLOR CLUB

I seem to be obsessed by Chartreuse or bright lime. I found Color Clubs, Limelight is right up my alley.
Its bold, bright and in your face gorgeous!

This above shot was in the sun but watch what happens when taken indoors, no sun light, its like its a totally different shade.

At first I thought I had been given a dud, it didn't look anything like I saw online. How can it be so differen?  It applies really smoothly, dries relatively fast. I like it so here is another shot outside.

Wow, its almost blinding, don't you think. The best part is when it got dark, I turned on my black light........now I am in Heaven!

ORLY - Oh Cabana Boy

I am not really a fan of the colour pink however on nails, I kinda like it. There are some lovely pink polishes out there and this beauty caught my eye, Orly's Oh Cabana Boy!

Its a very girlie colour, its bright, happy and sexy! It applies smoothly, two coats and your done. Add a top coat and va va voom!

You will get loads of compliments with this colour, I just love it when you see people do a double take when they see your nails. It makes me feel good that people appreciate them.

Please forgive the dirty window in the below photo, I  have to remove the mesh cover to clean it, it is on my list!

I hope you get this one, its aboslutely gorgeous!

Zoya Phoebe

I am really into the blue polishes this year. Zoya Phoebe caught my eye. It is a bright pretty blue.

The application went on really smooth. It dries fast and matte. I added a top coat, which I wish I hadnt because the matte look is gorgeous. Next time, next time!

It kind of reminds me of a sunny day, lying on the grass watching the fluffy clouds go by, lol. Silly I know!
You can buy Zoya Phoebe online, its not expensive and I am sure it will be a firm favourite if you love blue polish.

This one was taken indoors. Loving it!

GOSH RAINBOW

I have so many favourite nail polishes but my number one, best of the best is Gosh Rainbow. Sadly the manufacturers have stop making it!  I was very lucky last year to be able to find one online. I treasure it and use it very sparingly. So without further ado.... here she is!

I used a dark blue base but any dark colour will do. Gosh Rainbow flashes green, gold and red. Absolutely gorgeous.

I have found two other colours online which claim to be dupes for this colour. I got one in yesterday, Kleancolor chunky black holo. The other one has not arrived yet, it is called CND Sugar Baby.
The chunky black has glitter not flakies, like Gosh but they reflect the same way. The CND, we will have to see.

I hope that the dupes are as good as this as this is a really lovely polish. What girl doesn't want rainbows on her nails!

Acrylic Paint and Daisy's.

I bought some pretty acrylic neon paint last week. You can find them in any art and craft store, I found mine in Walmart.

I painted my nails with a base coat, my favourite, OPI Nail Envy, then once dry put on two coats of white nail polish.
The white polish will help any neon or bright colours pop. Get a fine paint brush and get started. The acrylic paint dries so fast that by the time I had painted all the orange daisy's on one hand they were dry.

Keep adding the flowers, space them out and then once done, use a black nail art pen, or polish and dot the flowers. The below shot was taken outdoors.

I decided that to finish it off, a few little green leaves placed here and there would make it perfect.

Add your favourite top coat. I love Seche Vite but I found that sometimes it shrinks when it dries and pulls the nail polish back from the tips, so lately I have been using Orly Polishshield. It dries a little slower (not by much) and doesn't shrink. Oh yes and it glows under a black light too!

Scrap book stickers!

Thanks to a very talented nail artist (Tartofraises) she gave me an idea to do a design similar to hers. I bought some scrap book sticker corner frames. They come in all sizes and designs. I bought the silver ones. I painted my nails a metallic blue and carefully placed the sticker diagonally across my nail and added a crystal. Top coat and voila la!  Enjoy.

And there you have it, simple, pretty and very unique!

The BEST Mood Changing Polish ever!!

It's no secret that I am a fan of colour changing nail polish. I have tried several but I wasn't really blown away. However all that changed when I discovered this Baby!

Not only are the colours beautiful, very smooth and easy to apply, they change colour so fast. I applied three coats which dried super fast, my kinda polish. It reacts to warm or cold water as well as the tempurature indoors or out. Below is after I dipped my fingers in cold water!

I had to take the photo quickly as the colour changes before your eyes, Awesome!!! Below is after I dipped them in warm water. Sorry its a bit blurred, I didnt notice it until I downloaded the photos and changed my nail colour. I am sure you get the idea though.

This polish is going to be great for Halloween. I got so many comps with this colour. I truly love this mani! Hope you do too.

Limonyte by China Glaze

The first time I saw Limonyte, I fell in love.

I found it on Ebay. It is a very hard to find, rare polish. The seller was not selling it anymore but I emailed her and lucky for me she let me buy one.

It is fresh, bright, happy, eye catching and gorgeous. The best bit is it glows under a black light and you know how I love that!

After several days (as you can see in above photo) I added a design from the Konad plates. Lovely!! I am in heaven.

Nail Trauma.

In December I bashed my nails really badly, I was in pain but didn't think that I had done any damage to my nails as they had not broken.

For the next few days my pinkie finger nails felt tingly, kind of like pins and needles. Over the next several days I noticed that the nails had become detached 3/4 of the way down.

This freaked me out as I had never had anything like this happen before. I did some research online and read that nail separation is quite common for Ladies with long nails. I cut them as I was worried I would catch them on clothing and do further damage.

Over the next several weeks I noticed my other nails had what looked to be air bubbles in them. If I gently pushed down on them the air bubble moved around. YIKES!!!!!

The nails  having grown out a bit out separated like the pinkies.

Not a good look at all!  So now I keep them short and covered with polish, that way they don't look too bad.

Hard to believe they are the same nails. I saw yesterday that some of the nails are not attaching as they should but separating further. I will keep watching and hoping or a Doctors visit may be in my near future.

So Ladies with long lovely nails, please be careful as this could be you too!

Tiger Blood.

I wanted something different, something fun and exciting!  I love looking at the very clever ideas on You Tube. One tutorial I liked so much I decided to do it but with my own twist!

The colours I chose were bold and bright and in your face! I used a white polish as a base. It also makes your colours pop!

After the base coat had dried, I put on the yellow and let it dry. Then I added the orange and while it was wet added a bit more yellow and kinda blended them together! Afterwards, using a black art pen, you make your tiger stripes, back and forth. However for me the best bit after your top coat has dried, go immediately (lol) to a black light and WOW!!

Let the fun begin. I got so many compliments on this design, it is my favourite one so far. Give it a go!

Aqmore water based nail polish

Aqmore water based polish.

I was offered this lovely polish to try out. Aqmore is water based and uses the most natural ingriedents. It protects your nails from all those yucky chemicals like Formaldehyde and Toluene,  which are harsh dehydrating agents. I was also sent a piece of polystyrene and was asked to put  Aqmore to the test, so I did!

I added Aqmore on the left and one of my everday polishes on the right. Within seconds my polish was eating the polystyrene, OMG!!!!

This was five minutes later. I had no idea that nail polish would do this. Did you????
Traditional nail polish erodes the enamel on your nails, the longer you use it the more your nails become dry and yellow (sound famililar?)

Aqmore goes on smooth, it is very pigmented. I only did two coats to achieve perfection. It gets better, to remove this polish you don't need nail polish remover!!!  I know, amazing hey! You just dip your nails in warm water for 20 - 30 seconds, using your finger tips, gently lift up the coat of nail enamel and peel off. Cannot be easier than that.

If you want to know more about this water based polish, contact Youniquenails.com  They are an online store who sell  nail polish, nail design and accessories. You can also contact them for more info at enquiry@youniquenails.com
